Matthew Weber
Matt founded One World Unity with Robert in 2009. Years prior, he was working as the child services coordinator at a homeless shelter in Virginia, USA. They came to know each other originally through a pen pal program between their respective groups which over the years grew into OWU. Matt served as a pilot in the military for ten years before leaving to spend more time with family and grow One World Unity.
Robert Kamara
Robert hails from the plastic-house slums of Freetown, Sierra Leone. After a tumultuous childhood, he found his calling as a young man through his church. A turning point in Robert’s life is when he joined the community group that he later came to run, and grow. Robert had already been working with children for many years before founding One World Unity with Matt Weber. He now either supervises or directly manages everything we do in Sierra Leone. The impact that this man has on his community is inspiring.
